This is not real estate related, but just wanted everyone to know that today is National Autism Day and the month of April is Autism Awareness month.
Some of you may or may not know that my youngest son has Autism, so this is obviously something that is very important to me. Henry-Thomas is in a good program through the school, but at the age of 8 still is basically non-verbal. I say basically because he probably uses about 15 words; not consistently but has used them at one point. He needs supervision 24/7, but is showing signs of independence and has come a long way since his diagnosis 6 years ago. Like everyone he has his good days and his bad days.
CNN today, April 2, 20008, is having specials on Autism all day. You can also read about families that are dealing with Autism at http://www.cnn.com.
